Drone Impact Attacker Guide

Destroy infrastructure, beat jamming, and coordinate FPV with missiles.

Last updated:

Playing Attacker in Drone Impact means you are the pressure. Your tools are FPV drones, missiles, and rockets. Your targets are the systems that keep Defenders alive: power, fuel, EW emitters, AA nests, and other infrastructure that turns a brave dive into a fireworks show for the wrong team. This guide assumes you already skimmed Getting Started and confirmed binds in Controls.

Attacker win condition

You win rounds by degrading the defender bubble until strikes land. Raw chaos is not a plan. A disciplined attacker loop looks like this:

  1. Scout — identify which generators, fuel points, and AA roofs are live.
  2. Soft — strip EW coverage by killing power/fuel (see Electronic Warfare).
  3. Strike — commit FPV or ordnance into the now-exposed node.
  4. Reset — exit or respawn, call what died, and deny defenders free reload time.

If you only kamikaze the biggest building every life, good defenders will farm you.

Why power and fuel come first

Electronic warfare jamming punishes lazy FPV lines. When jammer coverage is healthy, your video link or control feel can degrade at the worst moment — usually the terminal dive. Power and fuel keep that coverage honest. Hitting them is not optional flavor; it is how you make later FPV attempts cheap.

Practical rules:

  • Assign at least one attacker to infrastructure while another pressures AA.
  • If you fly solo, open with a missile or rocket on the generator roof before your personal FPV ego trip.
  • Recheck EW status after every successful hit. Defenders will repair or re-man stations.

Deep systems notes live on Electronic Warfare. Flight pathing that survives the approach lives on FPV Drones.

FPV approach playbook

Pre-flight

  • Face a launch corridor that is not the same vector you used last life.
  • Check audio — if defenders are already spraying your favorite alley, pick another.
  • Decide the abort altitude before you throttle in. Heroes who never abort donate drones.

Ingress

  • Stay off the exact midline of open fields on maps like Abandoned Fields; use folds, wrecks, and tree lines as taught in Maps.
  • Vary altitude. Flat, constant-height approaches are clay pigeons for machine guns.
  • Save boost (if your bind exists — verify in settings) for the last correction, not the first straightaway.

Terminal

  • Commit only when EW feels weak or you have a teammate missile suppressing AA.
  • Aim for the functional module (transformer, tank, dish), not decorative walls.
  • Accept that propellers telegraph you. Patch notes have adjusted prop visibility — assume defenders can see spinning blades more clearly after visibility fixes, and fly accordingly.

Egress / death

  • If the dive is lost, exit early when the UI allows so you are not locked in a death cam while the generator still stands.
  • Call “AA heavy west roof” style info. Your next pilot needs that more than a clenched-fist emote.

Missile timing and teamwork

Missiles and rockets are not participation trophies. After the v1.5 missile system updates, reload cadence and role clarity matter more. Full ordnance theory is in Missiles & Rockets; attacker-relevant timing:

  • Openers: use a missile to force defenders off a roof before the FPV arrives.
  • Follow-ups: if an FPV cracks armor but does not finish, a rocket finishes the module while defenders reload.
  • Premium value: the Premium gamepass shortens missile reload by about 15 seconds. Buy it when you already land missiles on cooldown; it does not fix bad target choice.
  • Stacking: two attackers dumping missiles into the same empty field waste the economy. Stagger locks so the second shot punishes repair.

Team chat macros that work:

  • “Softing fuel — FPV in 10.”
  • “EW down, push north nest.”
  • “Hold missiles, baiting AA turn.”

Silent attackers lose to coordinated gunlines.

Role splits for duos and full lobbies

With up to 12 players in a session, attackers rarely need everyone in FPV at once.

Rotate roles each life so one player is not forever the suicide scout.

Shop priority for attackers

  1. A reliable FPV you can actually fly — see community ranks on Best Drones (September 2026 estimate, patch-sensitive).
  2. Missile access you understand, not every rocket SKU in the menu.
  3. Thermal if you struggle to spot repair crews or camouflaged modules.
  4. Premium only after missile fundamentals.

Ignore FOMO bundles until you can complete the scout → soft → strike loop without guidance.

Attacking in Defense mode pressure

When Defenders are stuck repelling a large AI UAV wave (~75 in Defense-mode notes), attackers should not mirror the swarm mindlessly. Use the chaos:

  • Time player FPV while guns are elevated on AI tracks.
  • Strike power during reload pauses after massed UAV volleys.
  • Avoid flying the exact AI altitude band — defenders pre-aim there.

You are the intelligent threat. Act like it.

Map habits that win Abandoned Fields

  • Cross open dirt at speed or not at all.
  • Hug wreck clusters for mid-map staging before the final sprint.
  • Watch map votes: if defenders just farmed you on Fields, vote a denser layout next — strategy on Maps.

Mistakes that keep you hardstuck

  • Diving full EW every life “for content.”
  • Never watching prop silhouette against bright sky.
  • Spending Premium Robux before learning lock timing.
  • Ignoring teammate missiles so everyone arrives on the same second.
  • Treating pistols as your main damage while drones sit unused.

Practice plan (one evening)

  1. Two lives dedicated only to power/fuel — no vanity targets.
  2. Two lives practicing abort altitudes from FPV Drones.
  3. Two lives opening with missiles, then FPV follow-up.
  4. Review whether EW felt weaker after your infrastructure hits using Electronic Warfare.

Attacker skill is mostly decision-making under AA fire. Fly fewer stupid drones and more intentional ones.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Attackers, Defenders, and new pilots.

What should attackers destroy first?

Prioritize power and fuel that sustain EW jamming, then punish exposed AA and core infrastructure. Random building spam loses to coordinated defenders.

When do I use missiles instead of FPV?

Use missiles to soft roofs, finish cracked modules, or strike while you respawn an FPV. Read Missiles & Rockets for v1.5 timing and Premium reload value.

How do attackers beat EW?

Collapse the generators and fuel supporting jammers, coordinate multi-angle pressure, and avoid predictable terminal dives into healthy jam cones — see Electronic Warfare.

Is Premium worth it for attackers?

Premium’s roughly −15s missile reload helps only if you already fire missiles on cooldown with good targets. Learn timing first.

Where should I go after this guide?
